Tourist on a Saturday night

We played tourist last weekend paying a visit to the Eye of Malaysia in the thick of the Saturday crowd. Parking was absolutely ridiculous as we had to park metres away from the place and people were spewed everywhere. This is what happens when we join the happy jim bang weekend crowd. Enough of complains, overall the night was quite pleasant and we envision another visit in the near future. Next time it’ll be a weekday visit.

Standing 60 metres tall over the lucid Lake Titiwangsa, the wheel stands ‘ginormous’ with a colourful reflection lighting up the lake. The string of visitors might scare you off at first glance but I must commend that the traffic flow was handled quite professionally and the wait was not as long as predicted.

When it came to our turn, we hopped on and the doors shut. Minutes ticked by quickly. At some points my legs turned jelly and hands all clammy. It stopped a few times mid air for loading of new passengers in other gondolas. I was thinking to myself, if this can make my legs go jelly, how am I ever going to accompany Terence for a bungee experience?! Eek… the thought of it is almost tormenting!

We made our way out of the gondola and thus seals our Saturday night as Malaysian tourist.

I told you we were being tourist!

My favourite shot with a big man made wheel and the moon offset

Hues of violet and indigo spread across the shutter as it spins

The iconic towers

The angry green reminds me of Lochness Monsters somehow :)
