Browsing through stacks of wedding magazines, it has come to my attention that wedding planners advice couples to plan their weddings 10 months to a year ahead in advance. This is not the case for Mui Yoon’s wedding! It only took her only 1 ½ months to whip together details for her big day.
It’s a wonder how she nailed 7th July 2007 before all the other couples got their bookings in for ‘the’ day. All hotels were fully booked with weddings running concurrently and end-to-end. Terence and I joked about the fact that traffic was a crawl that morning because ever other car on the road was heading to a wedding somewhere.
Mui Yoon’s wedding was one of wonder, not because it sparkled with fireworks display or a 12 piece orchestra. Instead it shone because of the time, effort and love the ladies put into making it look beautiful. All wedding decorations were handmade and flowers hand picked. What rung through was a portrayal of ‘love in action’ as Mui Yoon puts it.
I left the wedding knowing that this is one of the greatest joys all newly weds will experience, besides pledging their lives to one another.

Handpainted, handwritten pebbles for every guest to take home! How neat! If that's not enough, each of us had a potted plant for keepsakes too!
