Island and Sharks

With 50 plus children all at one go, chitter chatter every second or so, fidgetty fingers and itching bottoms... sometimes they are the cause of sore throats and spinning headaches. But who can stop But all is forgotten when we learn to take things a little less serious and enjoy the simpleness of life.
We were playing a game with the rangers, i think it was called "Island and Sharks", when the music plays, they were suppose to walk around the 'Island' and when it stops, they had to huddle in and try to fit everyone on the 'Island' which was a piece of paper (that gradually shrinks in size). It was HAVOC as the children frantically squashed, hugged, clammed each other in desperation to fit into that tiny 'island'. Many tiny toes were stepped, shirts were yanked and BO was as close as you can get, yet no body uttered a word of disgust or complain! It was just fun... A game afterall and everything can be overlooked. Ce la vie as in the view point of a child.

Shrills and thrills, look who's losing their voices now?!

Notice the teamwork and undivided focus to stay as one?

Hanging on to each other...

Much to be harvested from the life of children. In as much as we sow, they too are teachers in their own way. Though they may not know it, maybe it's time adults acknowledge the fact that children are agents that bring a wisp of freshness to the sometimes stale air (that has become so much a part of an adults life). There's always something to be learnt every single day and in many ways staying teachable and humble leads us there.
