A night of simple pleasures around a nicely laid table to share in a celebration of GREAT joy made in HEAVEN! We had a table filled with lip smacking home cooked food and a selection of choiced ‘ta pows’ from infamous kopitiams. And since the night was catered for the lasses, mom and I made the effort to kindly escort the men of the house out for a few hours. It wasn’t much hassle as the men had their own agenda planned – SNAPPING, SHOOTING SPREE in KL. No complaining and we had the house to ourselves.Table of LOVE and chomp chomps
Mother Theresa serving Ade, after all she is the guest of honour! But being mindful that her BIG day is in 6 days, we had mercy on her and gave her moderate portions. If not... Gene and i would have piled her plate with food (as we're both good at that :)
Ok back to the night and the significance of it...
So what was the night about? What GREAT joy am I talking about? What’s this awesome thing made in HEAVEN? Here goes… 6 Days and counting down! Excitement is reeling and the warm fuzzy snuggly feeling is welling inside… We’re so happy, so amazed, so in awe at this LOVE story unfolding. Who can write a LOVE story better then the Author of Love Himself? We’ve all patiently waited till this very moment, yes Pastor Sam is getting married to a beautiful God fearing lovely lass. Her name is Adeline!
Gene and I decided to throw her a sit down dinner with a handful of INSPIRING mom’s and young ladies. It’s time we had some bonding, since most of the mom’s present sort of assumed the role of ‘mummy’ in Ps. Sam’s life. And for most of us young ladies, in some way or another he is a significant puzzle in our lives. We’re ecstatic for them, hopeful and incredibly blessed by the testimony of how God put them together.
After makan, we had a time of prayer and the mommies prayed for Ade… Gene and I looked at each other with tiny grins on our faces as we heard the repetitive “Lord, we pray that they will be fruitful and multiply” reiterated as all the four mommies took turns to pray. Aiyoh, thank God for such a close knitted extended family that God has given all of us, I’m sure the Chen’s offspring will have a bulk full of Godmother’s and Grand Godmothers, with a truck load of willing babysitters waiting in line. Free babysitting and heaps of baby clothing’s that’ll last them for ages!
Gene and I finally concluded that’s its too far a thought and it’s better to be living in the present… After all we’ve got Lee Yen and Joanna to think about before we come into the scene! Yeah a few more weddings to look forward too!
SIDETRACK FROM WEDDINGS, BRIDES AND BABIES...
Won't you look at Vanny! She's such a melty (a term used for someone who melts my heart - beyond repair!) The PRECIOUS MOMENT eyes peering into my camera. She was trying to feed me fish food in a closed bottle(thankfully still not able to uncrew can covers)
She can speak very very well for a one year plus babe... I think she inherited her chattery skills from her mommy (but if you were to trace back i think it came from grandma first)
She had almost everything on the table last night... from beehoon to sandwich to cheese tarts and ice cream! And she found a new friend Esther whom at every possible moment she's squeel 'HIE' to... with her tiny hands waving up and down!!!
