After a hectic weekend under the sun and a full day on Sunday, I almost forgot to rest my body. My mind is racing with a million thoughts and finally my body rang the alarm. I need the rest! For two months, every weekend is filled with an activity or another. It feels as if despite finishing my teaching stint my lazy Saturday’s hasn’t shown itself.
So on Monday, my throat started cranking up, temperature rose and I made a visit to the doc. His greeted me with an ironic statement, “I haven’t seen you in a long time (he checks my record and continues)… 2 years you haven’t been here.” Well isn’t it a relieve and blessing that I’m healthy and well thus far? This time around, my visit allowed me to have the much needed rest – an MC! As a blessing in disguise
I woke up cheery and bright on Tuesday. My throat still sore but I was ready to start my “MC” Day in the most leisurely way. Early morning with the Lord, my guitar and me, this in itself is enough to make my day fruitful. Stroll in the park, journaling, reflecting, basking… the hours flew by swiftly and finally I lay my head to rest for tomorrow is another day of work.
